
Gloria Zastko has resided in North Brunswick all of her adult life, moving from New Brunswick, at a very young age.
She graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1949, went on to attend Rutgers College, and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission.
In 1954 she married, continuing to work until she became a stay at home mom, always being active in community affairs.
In the early 60's she served as 2nd President of the then newly organized North Brunswick Women's Club and was general chairperson of both the gala "Golden Ball" and "Fashions International", which subsequently earned the nationwide Shell Oil Company Education Award.
Gloria also served on the Middlesex Chapter of the American Cancer Society and was on the committee of the first “Night of Wine and Roses”, as well as chairing films throughout Middlesex County to promote breast cancer awareness. She also volunteered for many other organizations such as the Catholic Lay Board and the Sacred Heart PTA. She orchestrated an after-school program for 7th and 8th graders and sponsored a fashion show as a culmination of the program.
In the early 70’s Gloria embarked on a career in real estate and it was not too long after that she became a leader in the real estate industry, winning many sales awards and was honored by the Gallery of Homes for being the top agent in the country. In 1991 Gloria, her son, Andrew, and a select group of charter members established Gloria Zastko, Realtors. Today the firm is recognized as one of the most successful and trusted realtors in Central Jersey. The Zastko firm, year after year, is the #1 Broker in North Brunswick.
In October 2004, Gloria served as one of the honored chairpersons for the 225th Gala Celebration of North Brunswick. This same year she was honored by North Brunswick as Person of the Year.
In June of 2009, Gloria was inducted into the New Brunswick High School Hall of Distinguished Alumni.
In June of 2011, Zastko was honored as the 2011 Middlesex County Citizen of the Year Award in the category of Business by the Middlesex County Commission on the Status of Women.
Gloria and her husband, Anthony, have 2 children and 5 grandchildren which are Gloria’s delight.
Gloria Zastko, Realtors is noted for its generous support and service to the community. The firm has sponsored many scholarships, blood drives, and has donated the North Brunswick official seal to the town, as well as contributing to the 9/11 memorial. For its 20th anniversary of Gloria Zastko, Realtors, awarded 20 individual awards for 20 consecutive weeks to North Brunswick “Teachers Who Make the Difference”. All in all Gloria Zastko, Realtors endeavors to give back to the communities it serves.
